Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CT Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 10 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) imaging in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves independently performing a variety of CT procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration. The technologist will be responsible for ensuring high-quality imaging while providing compassionate patient care and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
Job Details: Schedule: Rotating shift, 8/12 hours, minimum of 40 hours per week Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program; CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the primary registry date or hire date if already obtained; 2 years of experience required; PA ARRT Certificate; Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC); Basic Life Support (BLS); PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73; (2) 12-hour shifts and (8) 8-hour shifts per week, mixed daylight and evening shifts, every other or every third weekend based on departmental needs Preferred Qualifications: None specified Additional Information: Performs diagnostic CT procedures, including contrast administration via venipuncture and power injector; assesses patients for potential risks before contrast administration; demonstrates effective communication and patient interaction skills; properly identifies patients using two identifiers and documents all procedures according to protocol; ensures exams are properly coded, networked, and billed accurately; adheres to system-wide competencies and performs additional duties as assigned; works within a dynamic healthcare environment requiring flexibility in scheduling.
