Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN - MedSurg/Tele | Location Not Provided Assignment Overview Join the team as an RN in the MedSurg/Tele unit, providing acute and chronic care to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate has a solid background in med-surg nursing, is experienced in level 1 trauma care, and is comfortable with telemetry and various post-surgical procedures. Assignment Details Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2250 (negotiable) Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience required First-time travelers are accepted Shift times: 12-hour shifts from 7A-7P or 7P-7A Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 (on a 6-week schedule) Holiday expectations: work one shift of each major holiday Charting System: EPIC Number of beds in unit: 23 Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4-6 Support includes CNAs, unit secretary, and a resource nurse Responsibilities Manage tracheostomy care, chest tubes, and IV insertions Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret results Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams Execute discharge planning and patient education Handle wound care and post-op monitoring Administer insulin drips and use glucommander Qualifications Required: BLS Certification BCR competency; pass an EKG exam Strong clinical assessment and nursing skills Proficiency in IV care, central line management Experience in med-surg nursing for a Level 1 Trauma Hospital Preferred: ACLS Certification National certification in Medical-Surgical or Nephrology Nursing PEL/VIP Job ID 64544702.
