This position requires a minimum of 2 years of recent NICU experience within the last 6 months.

Unit Information Unit Type: NICU - Level II EQ & SCN (Special Care Nursery)

Bed Capacity: NICU: 12 Private Rooms, SCN: 18 beds Patient Ratios: NICU 2:1, SCN 3:1 Key Responsibilities Provide high-level care for infants, including those with various respiratory complications. Manage ventilators and other respiratory support devices. Perform procedures including foley catheter insertion, with a required pass/fail assessment in the Sim Lab on the first day of orientation. Document and use Cerner for charting.

Qualifications Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Level II NICU; Level III NICU experience is preferred. Must possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications. STABLE certification is preferred. Must have a valid nursing license.

Work Environment Shifts: 12-hour shifts, primarily from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule.

Holidays: Participation in holiday rotations alongside permanent staff.

Floating: Travelers will not be floated out of the NICU.

Additional Information Orientation: 2 shifts with a preceptor for floor-specific training.

Common Diagnoses: Includes hyperbilirubinemia, meconium aspiration, respiratory distress syndrome, PPHN, IGUR, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.

Providers: NNPs (Neonatal Nurse Practitioners) are available 24/7, with a Neonatologist on-site during daytime hours.
