Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2252.36 Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Telemetry Job Details: • Work on a 29-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio • Full-time hours required including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period • Navy blue scrubs required; black scrub pants with navy blue top permitted • Must have cardiac telemetry or PCU/ICU experience • Must be able to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips • Must have experience with post cardiac procedural care including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open heart, and permanent pacemaker placements • Must be able to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone • Procedures performed on unit include IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, and Foley insertions • Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, Dinamap, Welch Allen Vital Machines, Wound Vacs, Temporary Pacemakers, Telemetry monitor, EKG Machine, Bladder Scanner, Doppler, and Imobile for team communication • Documentation system: Meditech • Contract nurses may be floated to any area where competency has been demonstrated • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Must align with patient experience goals by treating every patient with courtesy and respect, using preferred names, making personal connections, and involving patients in bedside shift report Facility: This facility is a fast-paced acute care hospital recognized by the American Heart Association with a Get With the Guidelines-Heart Failure GOLD PLUS with Honor Roll award. The cardiac telemetry unit fosters a family-like atmosphere with a tenured and welcoming staff. The unit is supported by charge nurses, unit secretaries, and patient care technicians, providing a well-rounded team environment. Many contract nurses have successfully transitioned into full-time employees following their assignments.
