Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care.

Responsibilities: Assess and monitor patients for changes in condition. Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other clinical parameters. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered. Care for patients requiring telemetry and higher-acuity nursing care. Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status. Assist physicians with procedures and treatments. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions. Follow hospital policies, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards. Active RN license. BLS certification required. ACLS certification preferred/required based on facility requirements. Previous PCU, Step-Down, Telemetry, or critical-care experience preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
