Details Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU setting within a hospital Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Full-time, 13-week assignment Requirements Active RN license (TX or compact) required Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience required, including chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions BSN preferred New graduates will be considered in lieu of critical care experience Additional Information Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Provide patient and family education based on identified learning needs All newly hired experienced RNs attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and must complete organizational and department-specific competency validations Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility Previous CHRISTUS Health employees (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-781381.
