Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Morgantown, WV. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in patient care within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). We are seeking dedicated professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to patients in the Step Down Unit, typically managing a patient ratio of 1:4, flexing to 1:5 in emergencies. Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, ensuring timely interventions as needed. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.

Requirements: Current RN License. 1.5-2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in Med-Surg/Telemetry and 2 years in Step Down.

Certifications: BCLS, ACLS.

Skills: IV start, telemetry interpretation. Ability to read telemetry strips effectively.

Additional Information: Blocked schedules will be considered, specifically for weekend blocks (Fri, Sat, Sun or Sat, Sun, Mon). Scrubs are not provided; candidates should wear burgundy and/or white.

EMR system used: Cerner. Limit holiday RTO requests to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays.
