Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - PICU | Aurora, CO | Contract Quick Look Weekly Gross Pay: $3,513 - $3,698 Shift: 12H Rotating Start Date: 12/01/2026 Duration: 14 weeks We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a leading acute-care hospital in Aurora, CO. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN to join a high-acuity pediatric critical care environment.

Position Overview: As a PICU RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients from birth through 21 years of age with complex medical and surgical needs. This role requires a strong background in pediatric critical care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to float to various inpatient units as needed.

Key Responsibilities: Caring for patients with respiratory diagnoses requiring support, chronic childhood diseases, sepsis, traumatic brain injury (TBI), diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), seizure disorders, oncology diagnoses, metabolic disorders, and non-accidental trauma (NAT). Utilizing advanced medical equipment including Trilogy Ventilators, Servo Ventilators, Codman ICP Monitors, Medfusion Syringe Pumps, and Baxter Large Volume IV Pumps. Participating in a collaborative healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Minimum Qualifications: BSN required Current Colorado RN License required Minimum 2 years of experience as a staff RN in a comparable PICU Experience with a variety of pediatric conditions and treatments Required certifications: AHA BLS and AHA PALS Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of PICU staff experience 1 year of travel experience in a teaching facility preferred Scheduling and Floating Expectations: 12-hour rotating shifts with weekend requirements every other weekend. Travelers are eligible to float to all inpatient care areas, except the Emergency Department (ED), OR/PACU, and Inpatient Psychiatry.
