Location Newark, OH Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of quality care by adhering to the nursing care plan. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees within the Inpatient Rehabilitation setting, emphasizing patient safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans. Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.

Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, focusing on the education and support of patients and their families. Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and begin patient teaching early. Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.

Supervise and direct ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing problem-solving techniques, and delegate responsibilities appropriately. Contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures. Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure BLS Certification required prior to the first shift. ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH only).
