Start Date: 12/04/2026 Duration: 13 weeks We are seeking a dedicated Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Bridgeport, CT. This contract position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Step Down RN, you will play a crucial role in the recovery of patients transitioning from intensive care.

Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Step Down unit. Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes. Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC charting.

Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are required. Epic experience is required. Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed for department needs. This position is located in a leading short-term acute care hospital with a total of 426 staffed beds, classified as a Level II Trauma Center.
