Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Location: Odessa, TX 79761 Start Date: 10/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 36 hours per week Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Shift Pattern: 4x12-hour nights; may also consider straight 48s or 36/48 alternating Orientation: 16 hours Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 - $1,840 Setting: Med/Surg Tele / Stroke Unit Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas BLS and NIHSS certification required At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required Travel nursing experience preferred and a strong ability to adapt to new environments Cerner experience preferred Willingness to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units as assigned Flu vaccination required; medical, religious, and declination exemptions may be allowed Ability to meet all compliance requirements prior to start date Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg Tele and stroke patients Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Administer medications, complete assessments, and document care accurately and on time Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support patient progress and discharge planning Educate patients and families on treatment plans, safety, and discharge instructions Float to other Med/Surg/Tele units when needed to support staffing demands Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced hospital setting Apply now to take the next step in your travel nursing career in Odessa, Texas, and join a healthcare team committed to excellent patient care.
