Start Date: 11/20/2026 Duration: 10 weeks We are seeking a dedicated PICU Registered Nurse for a 10-week contract in New Haven, CT. This position is specifically for winter coverage, with local radius restrictions waived for this assignment. You must start by 11/20/2026, and please note that no holiday requests for time off (RTO) can be accommodated, with a maximum of 5 days RTO allowed. The average patient-to-nurse ratio in the PICU is 1:2.

Requirements: 3 years of experience required; first-timers accepted.

Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.

Certifications required: PALS, BLS. Must float to other pediatric units as needed, adhering to the scope of practice. Pending license accepted. Guaranteed hours available.

Preferred: Experience in cardiac critical care, CRRT, and ECMO certifications.

Facility Highlights: Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care Level I Trauma Center.

Total Staffed Beds: 1,567.

Scrub color: Royal blue.

Charting: Epic. Parking Cost: $125/month. As a PICU RN, you will be expected to float to various units within the children's hospital, including the Pediatric ED, NNICU, inpatient departments, and Wini 1 (psych) as needed. When floating to these care areas, you will be expected to take an assignment and care for the patients assigned to you.
