Location Baltimore, MD Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, working three 12-hour shifts per week. The position requires every other weekend and holiday availability. Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide care in a 36-bed Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit, which is a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.

Responsibilities include managing patients with various neurological diagnoses and telemetry overflow, including conditions like CVA, ischemic stroke, epilepsy, seizures, and post-surgical recovery.

Responsibilities Provide nursing care for patients with neurological conditions and telemetry needs. Perform continuous bedside EEG monitoring and telemetry. Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.

Manage feeding-tube care and pre/post-hemodialysis care. Utilize bladder scanning and perform wound care as needed. Document patient care and outcomes in the Cerner charting system.

Required Experience 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience is required.

Experience in neurology, including CVA/acute stroke care, pre/post-neurosurgery, and spinal cord injury.

Certifications/Licensure ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are required. Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission. Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias required before orientation.

8 hours of annual stroke continuing education and 4 hours of annual trauma-related continuing education required. TCRN certification preferred.
