Details Advanced Care/EMU unit within a hospital setting Monitors EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity Works alongside critical care team and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week No on-call or floating requirements 5 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule period Every other holiday coverage required Uses Epic EMR for charting Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing required BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required ASN required, BSN preferred Epic charting experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Additional Information Provides nursing care including initial patient assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of patient status Performs hourly rounding, bedside shift reporting, and utilizes whiteboards for patient and family communication Responsible for identifying and reporting safety hazards for patients and staff Offers peer feedback and participates in professional development initiatives Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Previous Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if they worked a full year prior to returning 30-day advance notice required to cancel an assignment once started American Traveler Job ID P-768195.
