Job Details Position: PCU Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Nurse / Stepdown RN Location: Youngstown, OH 44504 Setting: Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown / Intermediate Care / Telemetry Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 09/21/2026 Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Unit Highlights: 17-bed intermediate tele unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact license At least 1 year of RN experience required Basic Life Support (BLS) required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required Strong telemetry interpretation skills and comfort with stepdown-level patient care Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity, fast-moving acute care environment Experience with dysrhythmia recognition preferred Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards Care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, stroke/TIA, and post-op needs Manage therapies such as oxygen support, drips, chest tubes, drains, and wound vacs Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care Educate patients and families while supporting safe discharge planning Maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach in a busy clinical setting Why Join This Travel Nursing Opportunity?
