Hours: 36 hours per week Healthcare Setting: On-site acute-care hospital environment Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Job Requirements At least 1 year of recent permanent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission Active BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association NIHSS certification One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty, preferably from the past 12 months Ability to complete required background screening, health screening, and onboarding documentation Required COVID-19 and influenza vaccination documentation, with medical or religious exemptions considered according to applicable requirements Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical Telemetry patients during overnight shifts Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly escalate clinical concerns Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs while responding appropriately to telemetry findings Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and provider orders Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment and discharge planning Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans in the electronic medical record Provide patient and family education, including medication, treatment, and discharge instructions Promote a safe patient environment and support effective handoff communication Apply now for this Travel Registered Nurse opportunity and join an acute-care healthcare team in Akron, Ohio.
