This role is ideal for RNs with a passion for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down environment. You will be part of a dedicated team that focuses on intermediate medical patients and surgery overflow, ensuring optimal patient throughput from the Emergency Department (ED) and Operating Room (OR).

Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage patients in a 24-bed Intermediate Unit with a typical ratio of 1:5, occasionally flexing to 1:6. Provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as TURPS, laparoscopic surgeries, and diabetic teaching. Perform cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Administer IV therapies, manage feeding tubes, and perform phlebotomy tasks. Utilize isolation precautions and wound care techniques effectively.

Requirements: 1 to 2 years of telemetry experience required.

Certifications: BLS, NIHSS. Ability to float between departments and units as needed. Must be willing to work 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period. No on-call requirement. Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.
