The RN ensures safe, ethical, and high-quality care while collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities Conduct ongoing patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and cognitive status. Analyze assessment findings to identify nursing diagnoses and establish individualized patient care goals. Develop, prioritize, and implement care plans based on patient needs and expected outcomes. Identify patient and family education needs and provide appropriate guidance and support. Deliver safe, effective, and consistent nursing interventions in accordance with established standards and protocols. Maintain accurate, timely, and concise patient records and clinical documentation. Monitor patient progress and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and overall care. Respond promptly to emergencies, follow established procedures, and communicate with the appropriate healthcare team members. Follow medical center, nursing department, and unit-specific policies and procedures. Incorporate hourly rounding and established safety practices into daily nursing care. Uphold professional accountability, legal standards, ethical principles, and patient confidentiality and rights. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in staff education, professional development, and continuous quality improvement activities. Apply current nursing research and evidence-based practices when appropriate. Prioritize patient care while efficiently utilizing available staff, equipment, supplies, and other resources. Adapt to changing staffing needs and contribute to a supportive, compassionate, and collaborative care environment.
