Travel RN - PCU (655) - 7A - 7P Job Description: - Step into an exciting opportunity to work in a Level 1 trauma center with a Multi Trauma Unit that handles highly complex and interesting cases! - Join a dynamic team consisting of: - 20 beds with 40 dedicated staff - Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 3 techs - Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 2 techs - Experience a patient ratio of 1:4, allowing for meaningful patient interactions and care. - Work with a variety of cutting-edge equipment including: - Vents - Feeding Pumps - IV Pumps - Wound Vacs - Specialty beds - Suction - Chest Tubes - Utilize Meditech/CPN for effective charting and communication. Ideal Candidate Profile: - Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience is required. - Certifications: BLS & ACLS are a must! - Preferred skills include: - NIH stroke certification - Prior Meditech experience Common Procedures Performed: - Place chest tubes - Perform bedside bronchitis - Manage chest tubes, trauma patients, trachs, and suction Best Personality Fit: - Team player who thrives in a supportive environment. - Strong desire for a challenge in a highly acute patient population.
