Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse in Omaha, NE. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a team-based care delivery model, where you will collaborate with bedside RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to provide high-quality patient care. Our facility is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment that values teamwork, communication, and leadership. The 5 West unit is a 40-bed non-specialty med-surg unit that cares for patients ages 18 and older with a variety of medical and telemetry needs, including acute and chronic illnesses such as sepsis, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine problems, cardiac diseases, and COVID-19. As a Registered Nurse, you will manage titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wound care, post-bariatric procedures, high oxygen delivery systems, and end-of-life care. Our team-based care delivery model, piloted in January 2025, ensures that each team member is well-versed in how this model benefits both patients and staff. You will work alongside Lead Nurses, Virtual Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Nursing Assistants to achieve a common goal of exceptional patient care. Virtual Nurses help with administrative tasks that require an RN license, allowing bedside nurses to focus on direct patient care.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Float to various units as needed to meet staffing requirements.
