This position provides emergency care for adolescent, infant, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in a fast-paced department averaging 20 visits per day. The role includes a 12-hour night schedule, a 1:4 patient ratio, and care for both adult and pediatric emergencies.

Job Details Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with weekend coverage required at least every other weekend.

Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of emergency department experience; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; Kansas, Missouri, or compact licensure, with pending licensure accepted; Epic experience; Level IV trauma experience; and competency in combined adult and pediatric emergency care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care and management, intravenous vasopressor administration, continuous positive airway pressure and bilevel positive airway pressure management, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions, and triage.

Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience.

Additional Information: The department includes 7 rooms/beds and an average patient ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends. Patient care includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response teams. Orientation includes 12 hours. No on-call requirement is listed.
