Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary (List Format): - Provides professional nursing care for a group of patients during assigned shifts. - Utilizes the nursing process, current nursing trends, and technology to deliver patient care. - Manages care within the philosophy and resources of the institution. - Performs all duties specific to unit scope of service. - Implements nursing procedures and theories relevant to area of practice. - Maintains accurate and current documentation of nursing care for healthcare team use. - Conducts initial patient assessments and develops individualized care plans based on patient and family needs. - Carries out patient care plans, nursing interventions, and procedures. - Continuously evaluates and modifies care plans as needed. - Ensures patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards. - Communicates effectively with team members and addresses issues privately when appropriate. - Provides constructive feedback and collaborates with colleagues for professional growth. - Identifies personal learning needs and proactively seeks solutions. - Meets all departmental competency requirements. - Requires recent 1 year of Med Surg experience, BLS certification, and an Illinois State RN license.
