Details Emergency Room department setting Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 36 scheduled hours per week Every 3rd weekend required (Friday/Saturday nights) Holiday coverage required No floating required No on-call requirements Requirements Active IL RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required (American Heart Association preferred; American Red Cross accepted for BLS) Minimum 2 years of ER experience required, 5 years preferred Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history New graduates will not be considered Two current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge nurse in the relevant specialty within the last year required; at least one travel reference preferred Must complete an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration Additional Information Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER environment Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment (study materials provided in advance) Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away from the facility for 12 months to be considered as a traveler RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts Facility conducts a brief interview (10-15 minutes) prior to placement American Traveler Job ID P-770303.
