Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse, Step Down Unit position supporting patients in an acute medical-surgical setting. The role provides care for step-down and floor patients, including individuals requiring telemetry monitoring, titratable intravenous drips, and ventilatory support. Registered nurses must be proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Details Schedule: Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. Weekends and holidays are scheduled as needed.

Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Additional Information: Assignment dates are 11/16/2026 through 02/15/2027. Patient care includes step-down and medical-surgical nursing. Registered nurse-to-patient ratios are approximately 1:3 for step-down patients and 1:56 for floor patients. Telemetry monitoring is used, and registered nurses must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythms. Registered nurses may be required to titrate intravenous drips. Respiratory therapy is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with ventilators available on the unit. Royal blue attire is required.
