The role coordinates care across disciplines, monitors patient conditions, implements care plans, supports discharge planning, and requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.

Job Details Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.

Additional Information: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.

Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans; recording and communicating patient conditions; coordinating care among disciplines; carrying out physician and nursing orders; and assessing discharge planning needs. The unit serves a general orthopedic surgical adult population and includes telemetry capability, patient care technicians, healthcare unit coordinators, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor technicians. Standard precautions and required personal protective equipment must be followed.
