The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Key Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned patients on the medical surgical unit. Monitor patient conditions and coordinate treatment plans. Administer medications and facilitate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices. Participate in team meetings and contribute to unit goals and initiatives. Provide education and support to patients and their families about health management and recovery.

Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting required. 1 travel assignment experience preferred. Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are required.

Experience with EMR systems, particularly Meditech, is a plus but not mandatory. Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Work Schedule This position requires a commitment to 12-hour shifts, with the expectation of working every other weekend and holidays as needed.

The typical shift hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Orientation and Training New hires will undergo a general orientation lasting 1 week, including training on the electronic medical record system. Additionally, a 2-day floor-specific orientation will be provided to ensure a smooth transition into the unit.

Nurse-To-Patient Ratios The nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5, with the potential for 1:6 depending on acuity levels. Floating Requirements All nurses may be required to float to other acute care and cardiac units as needed, depending on patient care needs.
