Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse, Operating Room Open Heart: The role provides perioperative nursing care for primarily cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures in a fast-paced short-term acute care setting.

Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for complex and emergent cases, including transplant and open and endovascular vascular procedures.

Job Details Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; a minimum of 2 years of experience; candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered with more than 2 years of experience in a Level I trauma setting; Level I trauma experience; proficiency scrubbing and circulating for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures; experience with cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, coronary artery bypass graft procedures, heart and lung transplantation, and other complex surgical cases.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); experience with electronic health record documentation.

Schedule: Night shift, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 a.m., totaling 36 hours per week.

Float: Float rotation may be required.

Additional Information: The role supports adult patients and includes cardiac, thoracic, vascular, transplant, and other emergent operating room procedures. Weekday and weekend call coverage is required according to unit needs, with rotating start times and holiday coverage as needed. The role requires readiness to respond promptly to emergency cases and accurate entry of missing instruments into the designated tracking system.
