Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: RN-Cath Lab Location: Lexington, KY Contract Length: 13 Weeks Job Summary: The RN implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Nursing practices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital and department policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity. Nursing excellence is promoted through helping relationships among nursing staff and across other disciplines.

Responsibilities include coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities, patient and family-centered education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.

Required Qualifications: ADN or ASN Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state BLS , ACLS , PALS , NIHSS , Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation No prior experience required Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices Effective, clear, and respectful communication skills Ability to collaborate with other care team members Preferred Qualifications: BSN At least 2 years of experience in a busy cath lab Integrated Healthcare Services Job ID 37629257.
