This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in an inpatient surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in medical-surgical nursing and essential certifications. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care in an inpatient surgical setting. Monitor patient status and report any changes to the healthcare team. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Facilitate patient education and support discharge planning. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards. Assist in the orientation and training of new staff as required. Remain flexible with changing assignments during shifts as needed.

Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience with at least 1 travel assignment. Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Work Schedule This position involves a 12-hour night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a guaranteed 48 hours per week.

The work schedule includes every other weekend and rotation of holiday shifts with permanent staff members.

Additional Information Patient-to-nurse ratio is approximately 1:6. Nursing staff may float to various departments including Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, and Acute Care. Support services such as Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy are available 24/7 on-site.
