Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM; 48 hours/week.

EMR: Epic.

Floating: May float to ICU if appropriately experienced.

Experience: Stepdown/PCU experience required; specific minimum years not stated.

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW).

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

Unit Description: 22-bed Stepdown unit caring for patients with heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke. Fast-paced environment with frequent admissions and discharges; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Required Skills: Titrate Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin drips; read and interpret cardiac monitor strips; manage CPAP.

Trauma Level: Level III.

Radius Rule: Must live at least 50 miles from the facility. Candidates cannot have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year.
