This is an exciting opportunity for a travel nurse to join a high-acuity pediatric critical care environment, providing care for complex medical and surgical patient populations.

Position Overview: As a PICU RN Traveler, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients from birth through 21 years of age. You will work in a Level Three PICU, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications: BSN required Colorado RN License required New travelers considered Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a staff RN in a comparable PICU Experience with respiratory diagnoses requiring support ranging from nasal cannula to BiPAP/CPAP and mechanical ventilation Experience caring for patients with chronic childhood diseases, sepsis, TBI, DKA, seizure disorders, oncology diagnoses, metabolic disorders, non-accidental trauma (NAT), and surgical patients including neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, and general surgery Equipment experience with Trilogy Ventilators, Servo Ventilators, Codman ICP Monitors, Medfusion Syringe Pumps, Baxter Large Volume IV Pumps Required Certifications: AHA BLS AHA PALS Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of PICU staff experience 1 year of travel experience in a teaching facility preferred Additional staff experience may be considered in place of limited travel experience Scheduling Options: Rotating Days/Nights Straight Nights No straight day positions available Floating Expectations: Travelers are eligible to float to all inpatient care areas, including Critical Care Units and Acute Care Floors. However, travelers will not float to the Emergency Department (ED), OR/PACU, or Inpatient Psychiatry. The facility reserves the right to float or reassign personnel to other areas of practice within their clinical competence to fulfill the scheduled guaranteed hours and within thirty-five (35) miles of their originally assigned facility (unless otherwise agreed to in such personnel’s individual assignment confirmation).
