Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit Grand Rapids. The Registered Nurse provides quality, individualized care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. The role supports patient rehabilitation, discharge planning, interdisciplinary communication, patient education, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel while prioritizing patient and employee safety.

Job Details Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift.

Preferred Qualifications: Two years of bedside clinical experience preferred.

Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Additional Information: Responsibilities include completing nursing assessments, developing individualized care plans, documenting patient status and responses, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, initiating discharge planning, providing patient and family education, delegating appropriately, supervising ancillary nursing personnel, supporting safe patient handling and infection prevention practices, and participating in ongoing professional development.
