Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Emergency Room Holding Area position in Houston, Texas, supporting patients in an inpatient holding environment during day shifts. The registered nurse provides safe, coordinated care for patients requiring monitoring, clinical procedures, and collaboration within a team-focused setting.

Job Details Schedule: Day shift; 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week. Assignment dates are 11/02/2026 through 02/01/2027.

Required Qualifications: Registered nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, acute care experience, intensive care unit experience, and experience in a trauma facility.

Additional Information: Patient care includes a typical ratio of 1:6.

Responsibilities may include intravenous insertion, laboratory draws, and Foley catheter insertion. The role utilizes cardiac monitors, vital sign machines, and intravenous pumps. A teamwork mindset is valued. Alternating weekends and holidays are required. Royal blue scrubs are required.
