Details Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting 1:7 patient ratios Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 36/36, 36/48, and 48/48 schedules available Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Required to float Epic charting system preferred Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required AHA BLS certification required (ACLS preferred) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required MS/Tele and Med/Surg experience required Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and peripheral line care Experience with blood product administration and central line blood draws Experience managing colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tubes Experience administering heparin, insulin, and PCA medications Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management Telemetry monitoring experience, both on-unit and remote preferred Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use Relias EKG testing required within 72 hours of signing Drug test required to be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, responding to dysrhythmias and utilizing rapid response/code teams as needed Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care duties General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBL modules, averaging 4-5 non-billable hours Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-774362.
