Job Title Travel RN – Freestanding Emergency Department (Nights) Location Salem, VA | Freestanding Emergency Department Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Weekends rotate (Fridays and Saturdays, 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) | Holiday coverage required Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed freestanding emergency department setting with a 1:4 patient ratio Perform independent IV insertions, EKG acquisition and interpretation, and comprehensive patient assessments Administer and scan medications accurately for every patient and every medication administered Operate and monitor equipment including GE Monitors, Baxter Pumps, Zoll Defibrillators, and small ventilators Document patient care using Meditech EMR Function as a collaborative and independent team member on a night shift team of 2 RNs Required Qualifications Active RN licensure applicable to the state of Virginia Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience Independent IV skills, EKG skills, and strong assessment skills Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, and BLS Ability to work rotating weekends and required holidays Preferred Experience / Skills Prior experience in a freestanding emergency department setting Experience independently mixing pharmacy drugs such as tPA and KCentra Why Join Us Work in a focused, smaller-volume freestanding ED environment with a close-knit team and no floating required 13-week travel contract with a projected start date in October 2026, offering a defined and structured assignment Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 792126.
