Details Med/Surg Tele unit in a Level I Trauma Center, short-term acute care hospital setting Average patient ratio of 1:5 Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00) Every other weekend required Floating within scope required to meet facility needs No on-call requirements Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active CT or compact RN license required prior to start date BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (1.5 years considered with Level I Trauma or travel experience) Epic charting experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care Telemetry and non-invasive airway management experience preferred 1 professional reference required Additional Information Provide med/surg nursing care with telemetry monitoring in a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center Royal blue scrub color required RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the hospital Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a traveler First-time travelers are welcome to apply Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities American Traveler Job ID P-780728.
