Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – Rehabilitation Location Omaha, NE | Inpatient Rehabilitation Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | Shifts available: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM and 6:30 PM–7:00 AM | Cyclic self-scheduling | Weekend requirement: at minimum every 3rd weekend | Holiday requirement: at minimum 2 holidays per contract Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit serving adult and geriatric populations, including patients with stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, brain injury, critical illness, and neurological conditions such as MS and Parkinson's disease Maintain night-shift nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6, collaborating with nurse aides and patient care techs (ratio 1:10–15) Administer and monitor set-rate drips including antibiotics, anticoagulation, and antiplatelet medications (drip titration is not required) Participate in unit orientation, including classroom training and 2 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation; must achieve a passing score of 90% or higher on the required open-book skills assessment during orientation Float to MedSurg as needed per unit requirements Demonstrate strong communication, organization, teamwork, compassionate patient care, and collaborative problem-solving skills Required Qualifications Active RN license in good standing Current BLS certification required Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; a valid driver's license will be required at time of submittal to verify distance Candidates may not be currently employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity Health Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; candidates must comply with facility fingernail policy All requested time off (7 days or fewer per 13-week contract) must be submitted upfront; additional time off requests will not be approved after submission Preferred Experience / Skills Prior experience in inpatient rehabilitation or a related acute care setting Familiarity with neurological, stroke, or post-surgical patient populations Experience with anticoagulation and antiplatelet medication administration Why Join Us Work on a structured, supportive unit with a dedicated charge nurse on every shift and collaborative self-scheduling Opportunity to make a meaningful impact caring for patients on their rehabilitation journey toward recovery and independence Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 797856.
