Travel Nursing Job Details Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Registered Nurse Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana Start Date: November 2, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks, through February 1, 2027 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370 Schedule: 36 hours per week Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Unit: 31-bed neonatal care unit with typical 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios Charting and Medication Systems: EPIC and Pyxis Orientation: Eight-hour days scheduled Monday through Friday during week one and Monday through Tuesday during week two; attendance is required for all seven orientation days Additional Scheduling Note: May float to age-appropriate pediatric or pediatric intensive care areas as needed NICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements At least 2 years of Level III NICU nursing experience Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Strong neonatal assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical communication skills Ability to provide safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced acute-care environment Travel NICU RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care for neonates in the neonatal intensive care unit Perform ongoing neonatal assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and promptly escalate concerns Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team Educate and support families while promoting family-centered neonatal care Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in EPIC Follow unit policies, infection-prevention standards, and neonatal safety practices Float to age-appropriate pediatric or pediatric intensive care assignments when required Apply now for this NICU Registered Nurse travel contract in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to exceptional neonatal care.
