Details Medical Surgical unit setting Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM) 36 or 48 hour weekly options available Patient ratio of 1:6 Weekend shifts required Float to units of equal or lesser acuity Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of inpatient med/surg nursing experience required Prior charge nurse experience preferred Experience with Epic charting system preferred Experience with isolation precautions and PPE Experience with respiratory care including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management Additional Information Provide direct patient care in a medical surgical unit setting First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this unit Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation Core onboarding items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing American Traveler Job ID P-764070.
