Details High-Risk Labor & Delivery Unit featuring 12 private labor/delivery rooms, 6 dedicated OB triage rooms, and 2 cesarean section operating rooms Works closely with High-Risk Antepartum and Antepartum Units on the same floor for continuity of care Postpartum and recovery care provided on a separate unit, allowing L&D to focus on acute obstetric and surgical patients Teaching hospital with on-site Maternal-Fetal Medicine attendings, fellows, and an OB/GYN residency program Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), with 3x12 or 4x12 options available Patient ratio of 1:2 Every third weekend required Call required, consisting of three 12-hour call shifts per scheduling period Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active RN license (MO state or compact) required Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; high-risk experience preferred Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, FHM, and STABLE Teaching hospital experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Skilled in high-risk delivery assistance, vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation, and hemorrhage/shock management Experience with fetal monitoring, including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement Experience caring for patients with conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and VBAC management Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information Care for a diverse, high-acuity obstetric population alongside multidisciplinary specialists and learners Collaborative academic environment offering opportunities for professional growth and advanced clinical experience Scrubs provided First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates within a 70-mile radius are not accepted Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler at this facility without taking a 6-month break before returning American Traveler Job ID P-780032.
