Details Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit Patient ratio of 1:5-7 Uses Meditech EMR Night shift schedule, rotating 3x12 and 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30), totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated Floating required within scope of practice Every other weekend required Requirements Active KY or compact RN license in hand required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of current experience required, with 3-6 months in Level IV trauma or above preferred Experience with cardiac telemetry, CVA care, post-TPA care, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management Skills in IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management Driver's license matching permanent address required for consideration Two professional references required: one Charge or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year Copy of certifications required for consideration Additional Information Provide care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients including cardiac, neurological, renal, and orthopedic cases Manage cardiac drips (no titration), heparin protocols, and IV insulin protocols Monitor and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias Must work either a major or minor shift on every holiday Up to 7 days of RTO considered, must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Minimal traveler pairs accepted; pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit Travelers returning after a one-year assignment must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case First-time travelers may be considered depending on relevant Level IV experience American Traveler Job ID P-780131.
