Details Progressive Care Stepdown Transitional unit within a Level 3 trauma hospital's Critical Care Step-Down department Cardiac and pulmonary specialty unit with 22 beds Adult patient population ages 18 and up with a 4:1 patient ratio Common diagnoses include cardiac conditions, sepsis, acute respiratory failure, CHF exacerbation, post-op care, and CIWA Uses cardiac monitors, suction, O2, and vital sign machines Meditech EHR system used Night shift schedule from 7p-7a Required to work every other weekend (24 hours) No on-call requirements First to float among staff Requirements Active RN license (WV or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA certifications required) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing required Meditech EHR experience required Strong multitasking, assessment, and critical thinking skills required Post cardiac cath care and peritoneal dialysis experience preferred Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care for cardiac, pulmonary, and acute respiratory conditions in a progressive care stepdown setting Team-oriented environment seeking extroverted, empathetic candidates with a strong work ethic Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code Hoodies, sweatshirts, and non-facility branded T-shirts on Fridays are not permitted Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time American Traveler Job ID P-775861.
