Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Psychiatric Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, evenings Employment Type: Travel Behavioral Health RN – Inpatient Psychiatry Location: Holyoke, Massachusetts Shift & Schedule Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week Weekends: Every other weekend or as needed Call: None Block scheduling: Not available Floating: Required Orientation: Biweekly on scheduled Mondays or Tuesdays; must attend the assigned orientation date.

Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license BLS certification required HWC certification required per posting Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience Previous behavioral health experience required Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients ACLS preferred Unit & Patient Details Inpatient behavioral health setting 104 beds across five units Patient population: Adults, geriatrics, and children ages 5–17 Typical patient ratio: 1:8; lower ratios for pediatric and geriatric units EHR: Cerner Common conditions: Schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, and anxiety Scrub color: Blue Responsibilities Assess patients and provide direct and indirect nursing care. Develop and implement care plans with patients, families, and the care team. Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to physicians and supervisors.
