Details High-acuity Medical/Surgical floor in a Level 1 trauma center Patient population includes surgical, gunshot wound, quadriplegic, and paraplegic patients Patient ratio of 5:1 Unit supported by Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and a night-shift unit secretary Structured nurse handoff process between ED and admitting unit Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week Deferred scheduling with no block schedules and assigned shifts 4 weekend shifts required per month Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required BLS certification required, ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg specialty required Surgery and trauma experience required Experience in high-volume, high-acuity trauma hospitals required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information Provide nursing care within a high-pressure, high-volume Level 1 trauma environment Manage complex and critical surgical and trauma cases No RTO permitted during contract Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates American Traveler Job ID P-776535.
