Details Ortho/General Surgical PCU, 40-bed unit Patient ratios of 4:1, which may flex up to 6:1 depending on staffing and acuity Uses Epic EMR 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float, including to sister campuses Requirements Active FL or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required Degree accreditation verification required, or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing Additional Information Travelers are expected to function as core staff and fully integrate into the unit culture Floating required, with high likelihood of floating to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility All requested time off must be submitted prior to start; time off requests will not be approved after submission No block scheduling requests allowed Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility and may not own or cosign property within that radius Orientation begins on a Friday, including remote orientation and an in-person visit for badge/ID Document deadlines are strictly enforced with no exceptions for pending paperwork American Traveler Job ID P-780117.
