Details Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30 Works every other weekend Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed No on-call requirements 1:5 patient ratio Epic charting system experience preferred Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Experience with wound care/wound vac, telemetry, and MS/Tele settings preferred Skills in genitourinary/renal care, feeding tube management, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and respiratory care Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams Copies of required certifications needed for consideration Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg unit including wound care, IV therapy, and respiratory support First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this unit Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Maximum RTO of 7 days, finalized at time of submission, with no additional RTO requests after offer or during orientation week No RTO permitted during orientation week Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (up to two holidays must be worked, with limited RTO consideration for three) Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day Full compliance required prior to start, as orientation follows a bi-weekly schedule Former Piedmont perm/PRN/FCSS staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler Travelers previously cancelled or released from a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment elsewhere before reapplying American Traveler Job ID P-780663.
