Details Pediatric Telemetry unit in a Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center hospital Average patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00) Every other weekend required Floating within scope required to meet facility needs No on-call responsibilities Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start date BLS certification required; PALS preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (1.5 years accepted if from a Level I trauma center or large hospital) Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital experience preferred Prior charge experience preferred Epic charting experience preferred Skills preferred include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, chest tube management, NG tube insertion/management, insulin administration, PEWS/Rapid Response, and on-unit telemetry monitoring 1 professional reference required Additional Information Provide telemetry monitoring and nursing care to pediatric patients Royal blue scrub color required Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID vaccine and booster required with religious/medical exemptions only First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates not accepted; candidates within 75 miles of the facility are considered local Former perm staff must be separated for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval American Traveler Job ID P-780693.
