Job Title Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown Location Morgantown, WV | Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit Schedule / Job Type Contract (13 Weeks) | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekdays with some weekends | Possible Extension Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit setting with varying acuity levels, including patients who may present as Progressive Care or Telemetry level in larger facilities Maintain typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 during emergencies Perform IV starts and monitor patients via telemetry; must be able to read telemetry strips Accurately document patient care and clinical data using Cerner EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient safety and positive outcomes Required Qualifications Active RN License in West Virginia or a Compact State (pending license accepted at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of RN experience overall; at least 1 year in Med/Surg or Telemetry and at least 2 years in a Stepdown setting BLS and ACLS certification required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA) Proficiency in IV insertion and telemetry strip interpretation Candidates must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis Preferred Experience / Skills Prior experience with Cerner EMR Comfort managing patients with varying acuity levels across Progressive Care and Telemetry presentations Previous travel nursing experience (not required but beneficial) Availability for weekend block scheduling (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon) Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a dynamic Stepdown unit with potential for contract extension beyond the initial 13-week assignment Gain valuable experience in an intermediate care environment with diverse patient acuity Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 800437.
