Job Title Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Nights) Location York, ME | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients in an efficient, professional, compassionate, and caring manner using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct the activities of paraprofessional staff as they deliver patient care. Ensure effective communication with patients, support persons, and members of the healthcare team. Demonstrate safe medication administration in accordance with policy, evaluating and documenting effectiveness in a timely manner. Apply evidence-based practice, accepted protocols, and sound nursing judgment to maintain professional nursing standards in the clinical setting. Participate in committees and initiatives supporting patient satisfaction, quality care, and continuous improvement of patient outcomes. Required Qualifications Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maine or active Compact licensure; must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing. BLS certification required within 60 days of start and must be maintained throughout the assignment. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Ability to coordinate, organize, and prioritize complex, multiple patient assignments. Preferred Experience / Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. At least 1 year of current hospital nursing experience preferred. Basic knowledge of orthopedic procedures, treatments, and related equipment.
