Details Hospital setting on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit Caring for boarded patients in the ED (not ED patients) as well as MS/Tele patients Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Every-other-weekend requirement Holiday coverage as needed Float to other Medical-Surgical units when not needed in the ED No on-call requirements Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active IL RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent license application has been submitted) BLS certification required (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted) Minimum 2 years of experience required, 4 years preferred EKG test score of 80% or higher required prior to consideration Must pass an onsite EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history New graduates not accepted Two current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge within the last year required, with at least one travel reference preferred Additional Information Provide telemetry-level nursing care to boarded ED patients and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry patients Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away for at least 12 months to be eligible as a traveler RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 8-week contract Facility conducts a brief interview, typically 10-15 minutes First-time travelers are not specified as accepted given the experience and new graduate requirements American Traveler Job ID P-769511.
